About Us
DairySA is a joint venture with Dairy Australia that exists specifically to benefit dairy farmers in South Australia.
DairySA has been operating since 1992 (initially as READD) to develop a strategic direction for dairy research, development and extension in the region. It sets priorities, seeks submissions for, and commissions dairy improvement projects.
DELIVERING LOCAL BENEFITS
DairySA has funded a number of major projects in recent times, including:
- Dairy Discussion Group facilitation and activities
- Numerous small projects across all dairying regions of SA.
YOUR LEVY AT WORK
DairySA receives core funding from Dairy Australia and funds research and extension through a combination of funds from Dairy Australia and cash and in-kind support from government agencies and commercial organisations.
In 2005/06, Dairy Australia’s funding of DairySA from levy contributions will total $278,225, with an additional $1.7 million from other funding sources.
